What a Guardian Warm Roof Costs Fitted
Guardian is the most searched roof system name in the UK and it publishes no price at all. Every pound on this page therefore comes from a third party, from exactly two publishers, and we show which figure came from which one rather than blending them into an average nobody printed. Alongside the four systems set out on Guardian, UltraRoof, SupaLite and Equinox compared, this is the brand with the widest gap between how much it is sold and how little it is documented.

Guardian publishes no prices, and one of its dealers says why
This is the finding, not the preamble. We went looking for a manufacturer price list and there is not one. The obvious address, guardianwarmroof.com, is not a live brand site at all: it is parked and listed for sale on a domain broker. The dealer-run guardianroofsuk.co.uk has a page whose URL promises Guardian warm roof cost and which contains zero prices, and it states its reasoning in one sentence worth reading twice.
The industry explaining itself, verbatim
"Rather than publishing fixed price brackets that may not reflect structural realities, a tailored survey ensures transparency and suitability."
That is a defensible position and we are not calling it dishonest. It is also, read plainly, a statement that you cannot find out what this roof costs without booking a salesperson into your house. Both things are true at once, and it is the reason a page like this one has to be written by somebody who is not selling the roof.
The practical consequence runs through everything below. There is no manufacturer figure to check the third parties against, so nothing here can rise above Reasonably evidenced, and most of it sits below that. What it costs fitted
Two publishers price this system and they are not measuring the same thing. One publishes a size table with point estimates. One publishes a market range. We show both, side by side, and we do not average them, because the average of a size table and a market range is a number neither publisher stands behind.

Source: a single UK publisher, the only one with a full Guardian size table. The page carries no publication date, so under our own rule every row from it is capped at Thin evidence and is labelled "no date" rather than quietly stamped with today's. Beside that table sits the second publisher, dated May 2026, which gives a market range of £7,500 to £14,500 for a Guardian roof fitted, with no size attached. The size table's own overall band is £6,980 to £10,750including VAT. Put the two together and the published band is £6,980 to £14,500, with a typical of £9,000 to £11,500. The high ends are roughly twice the low ends. Our reading, labelled as our reading, is that the gap is size and specification rather than one publisher being wrong: the size table stops at 5m by 5m and the market range does not say what its top end buys. We cannot prove that, because neither publisher states its scope.

Labour only, if you already have the roof
One publisher separates the fitting from the product. Installation labour alone is put at £1,340 to £2,400, Thin evidence, single publisher, undated, checked 20 August 2026. The 3m by 3m row above is the only place the split is shown against a size, and there the fitting is £1,575 against a £6,150 roof, so labour is roughly a fifth of that job.
Treat that as a sense check on a quote rather than as a shopping list. Guardian sells through installers, not direct, so a supply-only Guardian roof is not something a homeowner can normally buy, and a quote that itemises the roof and the fitting separately is doing you a favour that most do not. If your quote is a single number, ask for it broken down and you will find out quickly how much of it is scaffolding, plastering and building control rather than roof. What warm roof means here
Used strictly, a warm roof is one where the insulation sits above the structural rafters, keeping the structure inside the thermal envelope. Guardian is a brand name that uses the term loosely, which is not a criticism so much as a warning about what the words in your quote are doing.
What Guardian actually is: a lightweight tiled overlay. An aluminium rafter profile carries Kingspan phenolic insulation in three layers, 40mm of K7 between the rafters, 25mm of K8 between the battens and 60mm of K18 insulated plasterboard below, over 12mm ply, finished in Metrotile or Decratile lightweight tiles. Some of that insulation is above the rafters and some of it is not, which is exactly why the strict definition and the brand name pull apart.
The manufacturer is Guardian Building Products Ltd, company 08135674, based in Derby and active at Companies House. There is no corporate link to Ultraframe, and no company called "Guardian Roof Systems Ltd" exists, despite the name appearing on installer sites. The U-value claim
Guardian publishes 0.18 W/m²K maximum for the build-up described above. That figure is the most important line on this page and almost nobody selling the system will put it next to the number that matters.
0.18 does not meet the England limiting value
A replacement roof in England has to reach 0.15 W/m²K under Approved Document L Table 4.2 once the structure stops being an exempt conservatory. 0.18 is above that. It is a legacy figure rather than a fault, and it is a legitimate comparison point rather than a scandal: the systems quoting 0.15 are quoting the limiting value itself because that is the entry ticket. But if your job is notifiable, the build-up you are sold has to get to 0.15, and 0.18 does not. Ask the installer for the calculated U-value of the exact build-up they are quoting, in writing.
Across the eight named systems in this market, published U-values run 0.10 to 0.18 W/m²K, and Guardian sits at the top of that range. Where the 0.15 requirement comes from, when it applies and what happens in Wales and Scotland is set out at the 0.15 W/m2K roof standard.
Certification
The title of this page promises certification, so here it is, with the numbers and the dates rather than the adjectives.
Guardian holds LABC and LABSS Registered Detail EW320. It was issued on 8 August 2012 and it states validity to 8 August 2016. That is the document we could download on 20 August 2026, and it is expired on its face. LABC's live register sits behind a members-only login, so whether EW320 has been renewed is not publicly verifiable. It may have been. We cannot see it, so we do not say it, and that is why the phrase "LABC approved" does not appear anywhere on this site as a claim about any system.
Guardian is also widely credited with BBA 13/5078. Searching the BBA register for that number returns "Nothing Found". The number circulates on affiliate pages and review aggregators and we could not trace it to the issuing body, so we treat it as unverified and we do not repeat it as a credential.
None of this stops you having a Guardian roof fitted legally, and none of it is a reason to walk away from a quote. It does mean the certification line in a sales pitch is not the thing that gets your roof signed off. That is a separate process with a separate fee, no competent person scheme covers it, and it is explained at who signs off a conservatory roof replacement.

Guardian is one of four names you will meet, and the other three each publish something Guardian does not. Ultraframe UltraRoof is the only manufacturer that publishes a system weight, at 38 kg/m², though it publishes no price at all. SupaLite roof cost is the only one with a manufacturer list price, and that list price contradicts the installed figures by roughly a factor of two. Equinox roof, from Eurocell, is the thinnest data position of the four: one publisher, no size table, no weight.
