SupaLite Roof Prices, Supply and Fitted
SupaLite is the only manufacturer in this category that publishes a price, which makes it the only one whose numbers can be checked against a third party. They do not agree. The manufacturer's supply-only list works out at roughly twice what an independent publisher says the same roof costs fitted. We publish both, we do not average them, and we show the arithmetic. Supply only and fitted, the two halves
These are two different products and mixing them up is the single biggest source of misleading numbers in this trade. Supply only is a roof on a lorry. Fitted is a finished room with the old roof gone, the frame checked, the scaffold up, the ceiling plastered and building control notified. Both tables below are real, and neither one answers the other's question.

The itemised worked example, in full
An itemised real quote is the rarest object in this niche, so this one is published complete rather than summarised. It is a 4m by 4m Victorian conservatory with a SupaLite roof, and it is the closest thing to a real bill that anybody in this market has printed.

Two things are worth taking from this quote even if you never buy a SupaLite roof. The roof is £8,500 of the £10,650 pre-VAT subtotal, just under 80 per cent, so any quote that gives you one number is concealing about a fifth of itself. And the most expensive non-roof line is the roof window, which exists only because the new roof is opaque. Going solid has a daylight cost, and on this quote it is £1,200.
The two prices do not reconcile
Take the manufacturer's own supply-only list of £1,200 per m² including VAT and apply it to a 4m by 4m conservatory, about 17 m². That is roughly £20,400 for the roof alone, before a single hour of labour, before scaffolding and before the ceiling is plastered. The only independent publisher pricing the same job puts the whole thing, finished, at £8,000 to £12,000.
Roughly a factor of two apart, and we are not going to split the difference
Our published reading: this is very likely a manufacturer list price that nobody actually pays, set against installer-network reality. Dealer networks buy at trade terms that are not published, and a list price that sits well above street price protects the dealer's margin rather than describing a transaction. We cannot prove that, because SupaLite publishes no trade discount and no installer publishes what they pay. So we state it as the likely reading and label it as our reading, and we publish both numbers rather than averaging them into a figure that nobody printed and nobody would honour.
What to do with it as a buyer: the supply-only list is still useful, just not as a price. It is a ceiling. If an installed quote for a 17 m² SupaLite roof comes in near £20,000, the list price is the only published thing that supports it and the only independent publisher does not. Ask what the extra buys, line by line, using the itemised example above as the shape of the answer. Two or three quotes from local roof installers on the same specification will tell you more about this system's real price than either published figure does.

Publishing structural calculations to Eurocodes is more than most of this category does. None of it is the same thing as your job being signed off, and we do not write "LABC approved" about any system.
The tile finish
The tiles are the part you see and the part that decides almost nothing about the thermal performance, which is entirely a function of the insulation underneath. A lightweight tiled overlay uses composite or polypropylene tiles rather than concrete or clay, because weight is the binding constraint on a frame that was built for glass.
That is why the tile choice is usually an aesthetic line on the quote rather than a performance one, and why real slate is a question worth asking about twice: it costs more to buy and it can force reinforcement that a composite would not. Weight, and the number SupaLite does not publish
SupaLite publishes no weight figure that we could find. That is worth stating plainly, because the whole lightweight tiled category exists to solve a weight problem and the number is the one you would most want. The only published weights in this market are Ultraframe's two systems, at 31 to 38 kg/m², and borrowing that range for SupaLite would be inventing a specification.
SupaLite does do something better than most instead: it publishes structural calculations to Eurocodes in its technical manual, which is the document an engineer or a building control officer would actually want. If you are quoted this system, ask the installer for the loading figure for your build-up in kg/m² or kN/m, in writing, and for confirmation that your mullions are reinforced to carry it. Whether they are is invisible from outside, and it is set out at what your conservatory frame can carry.
The U-value claim
SupaLite publishes two different U-values in two different documents and both are real. Its marketing states 0.15 W/m²K, or 0.12 enhanced. Its LABC Registered Detail states 0.18 W/m²K. We are not calling either one wrong: a Registered Detail describes one assessed build-up and marketing describes the current best specification, and those can genuinely differ.
It matters because 0.15 is the limiting value for a replacement roof in England under Approved Document L Table 4.2 and 0.18 is above it. So the question to put to an installer is not "what is the SupaLite U-value" but "what is the calculated U-value of the build-up you are quoting me, and which document does it come from". SupaLite's own 2025 brochure states the minimum requirement is 0.15 in England, 0.13 in Wales and 0.12 in Scotland; we have verified the England figure against Approved Document L and have not independently verified the Welsh and Scottish ones. The only way to close a gap that wide is to make quotes itemise, using the worked example as the template: roof, scaffolding, electrics, roof windows, and the building control fee shown separately. Three other names come up in the same quotes and none of them publishes a price at all, which makes SupaLite's contradiction the price of being the only one that does.
